Approval Disclosure Statement
The Southern California School of Floral Design, 834 S. State College Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92806, was granted course approval from the Council for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education pursuant to California Education Code Section 94311 (d). The counsel's approval means that the institution and its operation comply with the standards established under the law for occupational instruction by private postsecondary educational institutions. Course approval must be renewed annually and is subject to continuing review.
Approved are the courses:
Floral Designer - 80 Clock Hours
Advanced Floral Designer - 24 Clock Hours
Advanced Wedding Designer - 16 Clock Hours
Special Events/Decor Designer - 24 Clock Hours
Instruction is in residence with class sizes limited to 16 students.
California statute requires that a student, who successfully completes a course of study, be awarded an appropriate diploma or certificate verifying the fact.
Prospective enrollees are encouraged to visit the physical facilities of the school and discuss personal education and occupational plans with school personnel prior to enrolling and signing enrollment agreements. This school currently does not have available sponsored programs, government or otherwise, to provide grants to pay for portions of tuition and fees.

Refund Policy
Cancellation
The institution shall advise each student that any notification of cancellation and any request for a refund are required to be made in writing prior to or on the first day of instruction.
Materials
Once purchased, books, tools and other materials are the property of the student. This school does not accept material returns and makes no refunds for materials.
Three-Day Full Refund Period
An enrollee may cancel enrollment within three working days following enrollment and receive a refund of all monies paid, provided no classes have been attended.
Refund Policy for Tuition and Other Fees
The student has a right to a full refund of all charges less the amount of $100.00 for the registration fee if this agreement is canceled prior to, or on, the first day of instruction. In addition, the student may withdraw from a course after instruction has started and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of the tuition and other refundable charges of he or she has completed 60% or less of the instruction.
For example, if a student completes only 30 hours of a 90 hour course and paid $300.00 tuition, the student could receive a refund of $200.00.

If the school cancels or discontinues a course or educational program, the school will make a full refund of charges. Refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation or withdrawal.
Student Tuition Recovery Fund Disclosure
(The school has waived the STRF assessment described below. The school has paid this fee on your behalf in the amount of $2.50 for every $1,000 of tuition.)
You must pay the state-imposed assessment for the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) if all of the following applies to you:
- You are a student in an educational program, who is a California resident, or are enrolled in a residency program, and prepay all or part of your tuition either by cash, guaranteed student loans, or personal loans, and
- Your total charges are not paid by any third-party payer such as an employer, government program or other payer unless you have a separate agreement to repay the third party.
You are not eligible for protection from the STRF and you are not required to pay the STRF assessment, if either of the following applies:
- You are not a California resident, or are not enrolled in a residency program, or
- Your total charges are paid by a third party, such as an employer, government program or other payer, and you have no separate agreement to repay the third party.
The State of California created the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) to relieve or mitigate economic losses suffered by students in educational programs who are California residents, or are enrolled in a residency programs attending certain schools regulated by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.
You may be eligible for STRF if you are a California resident or are enrolled in a residency program, prepaid tuition, paid the STRF assessment, and suffered an economic loss as a result of any of the following:
- The school closed before the course of instruction was completed.
- The school's failure to pay refunds or charges on behalf of a student to a third party for license fees or any other purpose, or to provide equipment or materials for which a charge was collected within 180 days before the closure of the school.
- The school's failure to pay or reimburse loan proceeds under a federally guaranteed student loan program as required by law or to pay or reimburse proceeds received by the school prior to closure in excess of tuition and other costs
- There was a material failure to comply with the Act or this Division within 30 days before the school closed or, if the material failure began earlier than 30 days prior to closure, the period determined by the Bureau.
- An inability after diligent efforts to prosecute, prove, and collect on a judgment against the institution for a violation of the Act. However, no claim can be paid to any student without a social security number or a taxpayer identification number.
