Flowers& Introduction:
"For teacher and floral designer Phil Rulloda.
"it's the inner spirit that makes a design beautiful, enriching
it with memories and associations." In his case, the "associations"
are often lines of poetry or philosophy that especially touch
him and that he's committed to memory. These thoughts serve as
his inspiration whenever Rulloda has the opportunity to do the
type of floral design work he loves best - arrangements that,
taking their cue from nature are meant to soothe the soul and
light the way to a deeper understanding. Along with the designs
show here, Rulloda shares some of the works that have most moved
him and that he's attempted to translate loosely from thoughts
into floral designs. "Translation is an art in itself"
he explains. "It is the process of transforming the magic
of one language into the magic of another."
